Trump blasts FBI and DOJ for ‘downplaying’ investigation into second assassination attempt: ‘Conflict of interest’

Former President Donald Trump claimed the federal agencies leading the inquiry into the latest attempt on his life are “mishandling” their investigation.

Trump alleged that the FBI and Department of Justice’s actions to go after him “nonstop with weaponized law affairs” prevented them from conducting an unbiased investigation. He called for the state of Florida to take over the investigation in a statement Thursday.

“The Kamala Harris/Joe Biden Department of Justice and FBI are mishandling and downplaying the second assassination attempt on my life since July,” Trump said in a statement posted to Truth Social. “The charges brought against the maniac assassin are a slap on the wrist. It’s no wonder since the DOJ and FBI have been coming after me nonstop with Weaponized Lawfare since I announced my first Historic Campaign for the Presidency.”
