Dear Recover America Friend,

On March 27th, we were honored to host a luncheon featuring guest speakers Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel ... and Steve Maxwell, cofounder of the Remnant Alliance. We were truly blessed by the wonderful turnout, and it was deeply moving to hear their strong support for our work over the years.

As we move into April, it's going to be a very busy and pivotal month with several key events for which we greatly covet your prayers.

On April 8th I addressed the Pearland School Board in the city where this ministry began, while I pastored FBC Pearland from 1990 to 2002. We’ve discovered numerous books in the school district that defy the laws of Texas that we helped put in place to protect our children. By the time you read this, we hope action is underway to remove these books. However, if necessary, we will be in litigation to have them removed. I ask for your prayers that the School Board will act responsibly in protecting our most vulnerable and innocent citizens—the children under their care. I will update you further in our next newsletter.

April 17th, AM: I’ll be touring the Jordan Ranch in Schulenberg, Texas, which was designed and built by GF Watkins to disciple godly men—something that has been a lifelong passion of mine. You may recall my book, "Mighty Men Stay on Track", which emphasizes this mission. I look forward to learning more about this incredible initiative and how I can contribute to its vision. GF and I connected while we were both speaking to pastors in Austin last month, and I’m excited about the potential for collaboration.

April 17th, 8:00 PM: We’re hosting Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick for a Zoom call as part of our Texas Judeo-Christian Caucus, an ad hoc organization aimed at educating pastors on the current happenings in the Texas Legislature. April 28th: I will be chairing the Cy-Fair ISD School Board Forum, where candidates for the upcoming school board elections will share their platforms. I am honored by this invitation and excited to help facilitate this important conversation for the future of our community.

April 29th: I’ll be attending First Liberty Houston Legacy Dinner, featuring my good friend, Attorney Kelly Shackelford.

God has continued to bless our efforts in calling pastors to lead with boldness, reclaim their communities for Jesus, and extend their pastoral care beyond their church membership
